I have found the IR to hit pretty hard some days. I take it first thing in the morning and the XR close to 10 or 11am. I find the IR to last 3 to 4 hours and the XR to be 4 to 5 hours. Very similar to adderall for me. Unlike the adderall, the focalin is much more level and steady.
